From Skidby playing fields at TA009335, exit down the road to it's junction with Riplingham Road, and turn right, then left at marked footpath, followed by a left turn at hilltop 012329 and follow path to CHECKPOINT 1 at Skidby windmill.
Turn left along A164, turning left at Skidby after 200 yards. CHECKPOINT 2 is at Village Hall opposite Church.
Leave along cul-de-sac beside Village Hall, through field gate and cross pasture to enter small wood. Follow path north to Fishpond Wood, crossing road and taking field path, keeping wood to your left. Follow path through to road at 014357. Take road north for 70 yards, turning left to take tracks and field paths across Risby Park. Turn left again at 999354 and follow path south to CHECKPOINT 3 at junction with road.
Follow minor road west, then turn right to descend into Little Weighton village and CHECKPOINT 4 in Little Weighton Village Hall at SE986338.
From the village hall, continue north for 200 yards, then turn left on Rowley Road past the water tower to Rowley Manor gates. Turn left immediately through the gates and follow the footpath to the south of the Church and Manor. Continue west on marked route ACROSS PRIVATE FARMLAND, turning left along Ash Plantation and across fields to CHECKPOINT 5 at 963323.
After checkpoint at 963323, head north on road, over crossroads at Riplingham Grange and turn left towards Low Hunsley Farm at 956344. Follow PRIVATE FARM ROAD west, turning right along field edge at 952343 and follow down to valley. Turn left into Low Hunsley plantation, rejoining public footpath and descend through trees, joining the Wolds Way to CHECKPOINT 6 at 962323.
Turn left at checkpoint up Comber Dale and right at chalk lane, continuing past quarry and descending to Low Drewton. Cross over main road for Everthorpe, bearing left in village to CHECKPOINT 7 at 907319.
Take footpath over fields and through housing estate to West End, turn left at Chapel onto village street and proceed past Church and School through to South Cave. Turn right at crossroads in village centre to CHECKPOINT 8 at 924310.
Retrace route to crossroads in village centre and take Beverley Road out of village, turning right onto footpath after 300 yards. Pass left of new housing development and take path up hillside across field. Turn right on joining farm path and go through to rear of Mount Airey Farm turning right along wood. Follow path down to Woodale Farm, turning left up chalk track towards electricity pylons, going over stile at top of hill and descending to Brantingham Dale. Turn right on reaching road to CHECKPOINT 9 by Church at 944301.
Take field path uphill and head south-east to meet tarmac road. Turn left and after 250 yards over stile on right into woodland following path to junction at 952292. Turn sharp right and descend on path through woods, turning left at 946287 and down to Elloughton Dale. On joining tarmac road head south-east along road (signed Beverley) to Welton village. Turn left in village along Dale Road past telephone box and continue by Welton Mill to CHECKPOINT 10 at 962277.
Enter Welton Dale and follow path to cross farm road and turn right along field edge at 967293. Beyond small wood turn left and continue along Wolds Way to Waudby Manor Farm. Pass to the right of the pond and cottages and follow path north around field edges. At path crossroads in valley continue north through York Grounds Farm to CHECKPOINT 11 at 975312.
After CHECKPOINT 5, head South on road to the crossroads at Riplingham (CAUTION - no footpath or verge in places). Cross the road and take the road South, passing Field House Farm on your right. Continue to the crossroads at 963304 and turn left. Head east for approx. 600 yards and turn left at 972304 heading north through York Grounds Farm to CHECKPOINT 11 at 975312.
Turn left on road and cross to take field path to north following field edges to power lines. Turn right along valley to join green lane leading to farm road and continue to FINISH at Skidby playing fields.
