Starting from the family centre head W towards North Cave staying on the right hand side. Pass the costcutter tuning right at the end of the houses onto a private farm track.(bucket drop) Follow the track round picking up the public footpath for Everthorpe and checkpoint 1 from this head W in 100m turn Right then turn left and head towards North Cave Follow the Rd over the old railway line towards North Cave. Before entering North Cave take the footpath to the right and travel N across the playing fields towards North Cave Church. Continue N past the church through Hotham Park, into Hotham on leaving the park follow the Rd straight across following it round left then right heading towards the Church and CP 2. Continue N on Denton Lane following the footpath left and then right through Cliffdales Farm and into Houghton Woods. In Houghton woods at the path junction turn right heading E towards North Newbald continue straight across at Rd junction (care taken A1034) in North Newbald take first left onto Townside Rd and onto CP 3.
After this CP follow Rd round to the Right to the Rd Junction and turn left onto Beverly Rd follow this for 1.2km before turning Right into Swin Dale, CP4. Continue through Swin Dale for 3km turning Right at the Rd/Junction and CP 5 (Little Wood Lane) At Rd Junction travelling SW continue straight across in 300m turn left to Rd/Junction B1230 At Rd Junction turn Left staying inside the fence for 200m before turning Left and crossing the road onto the footpath. Continue S into Low Hunsley Plantation following the Yorkshire Wolds Way. At Weedley Springs Path/Junction turn Left up Comber Dale and turn Right at path/track junction continue on for 300m before turning Left through Little Wold Plantation and CP 6. Continue into South Cave down Little Wold Lane turning Right onto Beverley Rd in 300m cross the Main Rd (A1034) continue down Church St for 1km passing Cave Castle on your Right. Turn Right towards the Church and back to the Family Centre for the finish.
