Continue east on path past Gurnal Dubs to gate. é and at gate Wm. @ 4th wall on right, è steeply down 2 fields (wall on left), to gate at rd. X to gate opp. é (wall on left) to tree, ì to stone st. in corner of walls. ç on drive. 15yds past Larchbank Barn (on right) take st. on left (wall on right), to next metal st.. ë across field to st in fence near barn. ì around house to rd. è In 150yds at last barn on left, ç into garden at The Old Stone Barn, past climbing frame to st. in left corner (hedge on left), down to further st. & 2 gates to cross tk. to st. in fence, ë across field to right of brook to dodgy st. in wall onto lane. ç to Gurnal Bridge GR 520975 at bend éat gate to st, up banking, èon tk. In 150yds, as stream below turns right, go ë down across field to st. in wall left of tree, ì along narrow field. Do not go through broken fence/gate, climb ç to tunnel in hedge to st. é to gate at lane. é (Coppice How), before buildings, take gate on left, then è buildings on right, pass 2 stone pillars, é trees on left, çon stoney tr/drive up to A6. To T junction ç again for 70yds, cross st in wall on right to gate. ç on tr. to double gates, é in field on faint path which curves right around mound to gap st. (Dodding Green) é to gate. ç to gate. é (wall on left) to ladder st. at houses to rd. ç on rd, GR 537 953 In ¼ml è into Mealbank Mill Trading Estate. è in front of Rexford Joinery (river on right) follow rd up between houses to T-junction ç uphill to main rd.

As track fades out continue uphill following wall (On right) round to the left to 2 small gates in wall near top left corner. é steeply uphill over rough ground on bearing 160° to gate/new st. in wall near junction at trees.
Over st. é 209° (to the north top of Benson Knott,) to pick up trod, as trod splits keep right to trig point. Then ç 118° across Col to south top cairn. ì 190° picking up trod, continue to gate in cross wall.é (wall on right) down to gate into short narrow field, leave by gate on right. ç down between mounds to gate & rd. è On rd over hill to crossroads. (Greyhound). ç on rd. for 1mile. At crossroads (CAUTION). ç 80yds to farm lane on right (Windy Hill Farm) é up concrete lane. At end of 1st building (on right), turn è and follow round to left to gap st. in wall at tree. ì across field to gate in wall. ç (wall on left) to gap st. in cross wall. é (fence on right) to metal st. in wall at houses. é and è around house on drive to gate on left after last building.é in field down to wall st. ë up hill on path and follow ridge for 0.9 mile to trig point. é down steep rough path approx 40 yds bear î on grassy path between ferns keep bearing to descend steeper grassy slope to reach rd and cattle grid. ç to A65 GR 527 889 X with care ë to Helm Lane. é for 0.3 mile under railway bridge to end of white houses (sp St Marks Home) X st. ì to st. é through gate opening . (wall on left) to stile and rd.

ç for 400yds è up Nannypie Lane to reach X rds at Strickland Arms Hotel. é behind Hotel and sharp è in front of houses. Follow track round end house ì (wm) path to Kg. é up field (wall on right) to kg. è to kg. é (wall on right) to kg into Sizergh Castle car park. GR 497 877.
é on path past no entry sign to pass café ç15yd è at new gate to take gate (wm) left of sign saying dog area.é X field to gate continue é on track. to gate, é kg on left into wood. é through wood to small gate. ç on lane up hill for 0.5 mile to reach Helsington Church. GR 488 889 Checkpoint 3.
é to reach cattle grid and rd. è for 30 yds ç at KG. é to gate. é and path bears è down small dip and up to open land ç along scar (passing "Mushroom" view point) for 1.8 miles to reach Kg and rd. GR 488 923.
X rd with care. è. At car park sign small path leaves rd. é to reach track at mast. ç on good path to kg. é 300yds (wall on left) past 4 way finger post and gate é to wall corner ç to Cunswick scar (1 mile). Wall on left passing st in fence. é, near top of climb ì on faint path to summit cairn (enjoy the view). è heading south. In 50 yds take left fork to gap st by bush.
é (wall on right to start with) to ladder stile (do not X) í and head toward 2 trees. é on same bearing. To close in on wall, pass gate in 50 yds metal stile. ì to right hand wall corner of farm ç to gate and farm. é on farm track, under road to reach A5284 rd. GR 499 944.
